Flying over Victoria Falls!!

After a long goodbye night to the group (which included many springboks and "beautiful africa" songs) and after only 3 1/2 hours of sleep I was ready for a new day!

At 6:30am I was picked up for a micro light flight over Victoria falls. A microlight, for those who don't know, is basically a bicycle with a little engine and wings!! Jajaja

The whole trip lasted about 15 minutes but OMG! It was worth every penny!!!!!! I got to see Victoria falls from high above... It was magical! I think the only thing that was going through my mind was "wow!!" It was simply breathtaking!

Here are some pictures :-)

After the microlight I had to say my final goodbye to the group and headed into the hostel.

My planned tour didn't happen so I walked around Livinstone, relaxed and took a 2 hour nap.

Adjusting to the tour group took me a couple of days and now that I'm by myself I found it really hard to adjust to being alone. Strangely enough I felt very sad, to the point that I wanted to call the people from the tour who stayed in Livingstone and ask them to hang out, but I didn't. I knew I was going to be fine but I was missing the sense of protection that the group gave me. Walking in Livingstone and having so many men come up to me on the street trying to sell bracelets and be very pushy made me feel a little insecure. While walking I spotted a girl from the hostel who was walking by herself and I ran up to her and asked her if she wanted to walk with me so we would keep each other company.

I love the fact that I can say "No In-glich, español... Sorry!" and some Of The men will leave you alone. There was one that was very pushy right outside the hostel and he even said "I know u no speak English, but listen to me" jajajajaja I wanted to laugh but I just kept speaking Spanish and walking away.

So far if I could give zambia an award it will be for the stinkiest men on EARTH!!! Holy moly! This country has not discovered deodorant! It does not matter where you go you can smell it!... True and funny story... When we crossed over to zambia a bus from the hotel was waiting for us, the driver and Janet left and when they came back and the driver got in the bus it was like a skunk sprayed the whole bus! I was on the last row with Dan and I just had to open the window... I was hoping it was only him but no! The whole country smells icky!!!!

In the afternoon I had a sunset cruise booked, which I did not know it was a "booze cruise" so we got an open bar and a dinner BBQ (pizza for vegetarians). In the transfer car I met a girl from Lithuania and her "boyfriend" from Lusaka and I spent time with them during the cruise. To be honest I didn't even want to go on the cruise, I was getting a little anxious about people and being by myself and I even thought of not going but then I thought it was non sense!

I'm a sucker for sunsets and sunrises so the cruise was perfect but I did get very very sad being by myself. I was sitting by myself overlooking the water and reflecting on why I was so sad... I was to the point of having tears in my eyes, sadness was flowing all over my system and I just couldn't understand why... Maybe I've reached enough Andrea time or maybe it was the feeling of being unprotected, or just sadness of saying goodbye to people I had just made a lot of memories with... I just couldn't figure out what was going on and right at that moment two random girls approached me and said "we are going to the bar, wanna grab a drink?" and right there and then came this realization of "you are not alone! You will be just fine!!"... It was a really weird experience because I was having all these thoughts and it felt like the girls were sent to me for a reason... It was just perfect timing... I'm sure it wasn't a coincidence... I've said it before and I say it now... I'm traveling with lots of angels!!!

The sunset was AMAZING... no pictures can show the beauty, but I tried! :-)

Once back on the land there was a huge fire and we danced a little bit until we found our driver... Who was drinking a beer... I was not sure I wanted him to drive me back! Jaja
