It's the memories that we take with us that count!

I think this leg of the trip started a little shaky for me since I felt as if I was having a hard time connecting with people and being part of the group.

I gave it some time and now I am loving everybody in the group! We have created great memories together, it has been simply amazing to be part of this group.

The reason I named this blog "memories" is because what we lived that night at elephant sands will stay with us forever!

So the night started with dinner and then some of us stayed later for drinks.

We totally forgot that the camp site does not have electricity and is run with a generator... that goes off at 10pm! Since we are a very prepared group of travelers many of us had flashlights and we made it work! With two bottles of brandy, wine, beer, cider and a deck of cards we were bound to have a great night! We sang, played "on the bus" and had a great time... Until a very angry lady came to tell us to shut up and be respectful and that she was going to tell administration about our behavior! The funny thing about what she said is that the administration was right there sitting next to me having a drink and a great time with us!!!

After that we tried to keep quiet and all of a sudden we heard a HUGE ROAR!!!! we all froze and looked at each other! There was a lion going around the camp! The roar was so strong that we all thought that the lion was right there next to us in the dark! All of our hearts sunk!!!

Then, we decided to move to the fire, right next to the Elephants... We could hear them breathing right next to us, at times we even got scared that they would come where we were... It was such an amazing and scary experience!!!!

There isn't much I can write to transfer the emotions felt but I'm sure that all of us will cherish that night at elephant sands for the rest of our lives!
